Half day

Along Creeks and Polders

57.3 km

A playful loop along waterways and fortified little towns.

You set off from the centre of Damme and ride toward the maze-like landscape of Maïsterplan. Through the wide-open scenery of the Lapscheurse Kreken, you cruise on toward the fortified town of Sluis.

After that, you follow quiet roads past the Hazegras bunkers and behind the coastline of Knokke-Heist. Via the Put van Cloedt and the green Duinwaterpark, the route turns inland again. You ride through the open polders of Koolkerke and Dudzele, along waterways, windmills, and wonderfully silent roads.

Highlights:
• Fortified town of Sluis
• Knokke-Heist coastline
• Put van Cloedt

A relaxed polder ride with plenty of open space.

From Polder Village to Proud City

57.7 km

From quiet polders to urban grandeur.

You ride via Dudzele toward the historic Abdij Ter Doest. From there, you continue to Lissewege, known as the white village. After a green pause at the Garden of the Rectory, you reach the vibrant heart of Brugge.

Via the wooded Domein Beisbroek and Domein Tudor, you return toward Damme.

Highlights:
• Abdij Ter Doest
• Lissewege
• Brugge

A beautiful balance of village charm, nature, and city elegance.

Full Day

The Other Side of Time

82.8 km

A route that unfolds slowly between polders and borderland.

Starting from Damme, you ride past castles, farmsteads, and old ramparts where water management and agriculture have shaped the land side by side for centuries. Wide-open views alternate with sheltered woodland stretches and windmills.

Sometimes the road leads to a bridge, sometimes to a vineyard, sometimes to an unexpected hidden passage. This is a ride with the freedom to wander — and to stop wherever it feels right.

Highlights:
• Zandberghoeve
• Victoriadoolhof
• ’t Biezenhof vineyard
• Sophiapolder with birdwatching hide

A day where the landscape sets the pace.

From Fortified Town to Coastline

85.8 km

From polder to sea.

You ride past Fort Sint-Job toward Sluis. After passing through the lively fortified town, you continue to Groede, known for its museum street and authentic village atmosphere.

The route then follows the coastline at Cadzand-Bad, where sea and land meet. Via Knokke-Heist and the polder village of Ramskapelle, you return toward Damme.

Highlights:
• Sluis
• Groede
• Cadzand-Bad
• Knokke-Heist
• Put van Cloedt

A full day between fortress town, village charm, and the sea.

High Above at the Pump Tower

96.6 km

A varied loop along waterways, heritage, and green domains.

We set off toward the Molen van Oostkerke, where the openness of the polder landscape immediately makes itself felt. Along quiet country roads, you reach Café ’t Boldershof — a first opportunity to pause and step off the bike.

The scenery then opens up around De Hoge Dijken. The literal high point follows at the Pompentoren, where you look out above the surrounding landscape.

Via Natuurdomein Beisbroek–Tudor, you ride through shaded avenues toward the vibrant centre of Brugge, where heritage and liveliness meet. From there, green loops and quiet back roads guide you back to the starting point.

Highlights:
• Molen van Oostkerke
• Pompentoren
• Natuurdomein Beisbroek–Tudor
• Brugge

A full day where landscape, elevation, and atmosphere come together seamlessly.

The Road to Breskens

103 km

The extended version of ‘From Fortified Town to Coastline’, with the seaside village of Breskens added as an extra destination.

You follow the same open polder roads and fortified routes, but continue further toward the Zeeland coast. Breskens becomes an additional anchor point by the sea, where the horizon stretches even wider.

The return journey once again leads you past creeks, dikes, and quiet villages toward Damme.

Highlights:
• Sluis
• Groede
• Breskens
• Cadzand-Bad
• Knokke-Heist
